What are age spots?
Age spots, also known as liver spots are a type of hyperpigmentation which occur when too much melanin is produced. They generally occur in people over the age of 40 and are most noticeable on the face, shoulders, hands and forearms. Overexposure to the sun is the main cause and some people are more susceptible.
