All minor surgical procedures are conducted in our state-of-the-art minor ops room. David Gateley, Consultant Plastic Surgeon will deliver this innovative care in a safe environment within a governance framework as stipulated by NHS England and in line with the CQC registration. All surgical wounds will be managed by the professional medical team.

If necessary, the specimen can be sent for histological examination by a specialist to determine it’s exact diagnosis and an appropriate referral made through David Gateley’s network of medical specialists.

Moles, Cysts and Lesions

Do you have a lesion you would like removed?

We are currently offering treatment for seborrhoeic keratoses — harmless, superficial skin lesions that commonly appear on the body and tend to increase with age.*

Your procedure will be carried out by Dr Kasim under the direct supervision of our Medical Director and Consultant Plastic Surgeon, Mr David Gateley. All minor surgical procedures take place in our state-of-the-art minor operations room, fully compliant with Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration standards – ensuring the highest levels of safety and care.

*Please note: These training clinic sessions do not include lesions on the face, suspected malignant lesions, or insured patients.

Here’s how it works: Simply, send us a clear image of the lesion you’d like removed. Mr Gateley will carefully review your photo to confirm whether it’s suitable for treatment during Dr Kasim’s training session clinic. If approved, treatment is available for a fee of £100.

Moles

At Nakedhealth, we provide comprehensive mole review services led by David Gateley, an experienced plastic surgeon with extensive expertise in skin lesion assessment. Every patient undergoes a thorough examination combining clinical and dermatoscopic analysis using specialised magnifying equipment. This meticulous approach allows us to carefully evaluate each mole providing either reassurance or recommending surgery where necessary. Knowing when not to operate is as important as knowing when to operate.

Our comprehensive review process is designed to address both cosmetic concerns and potential health implications. By combining advanced diagnostic techniques with expert clinical judgment, we ensure that every patient receives personalised, thorough care tailored to their specific skin health needs.

Cysts including scalp

Patients with cysts either on their body or scalp present to us in two ways: either as a cyst that has grown in size, is painless and has had no episode of redness or possible infection, or those patients who have an infected cyst that has discharged.

The first scenario is the better outcome. Removing such cysts with no history of infection is very straightforward and is a short journey with a small scar. If the cyst has had a period of infection, then often it’s a much longer journey requiring an initial procedure and then multiple dressings over 2 to 3 weeks.

David Gateley will be able to advise you on the appropriate treatment for your cyst.

Skin tags

Skin tags are fleshy projections which are skin coloured or pink and can be found anywhere on the face or body. They are usually smooth and loose.

Small skin tags can easily be removed surgically or by our skilled team of advanced electrologists but if they are large you will be referred to one of the medical team who can remove them with minimal scarring.

We specialise in treating delicate areas such as the eyelids where skin tags often develop.

Seborroehic Keratoses

Seborreohic keratoses are harmless lesions on the skin which are very superficial and are commonly found on the face and back. Their numbers increase with age.

They can be easily removed with minimal discomfort and downtime. We usually use a curette to scrape the lesion from the surface, followed by a small amount of heat cautery. The wound is healed within two weeks.

Eyelid Surgery

Upper eyelid surgery is a procedure designed to address the signs of aging around the eyes by removing excess skin and fat. Jaw tightening surgery

This new minor surgical procedure is ideal for those who are concerned about their jawline from age-related loss of tone. It is minimally invasive, quick and gives instant results. There is considerably less trauma than a full facelift and it is carried out under local anaesthetic.

Lip lift

A lip lift is a minimally invasive surgical procedure performed under local anaesthetic. Precise measurements are taken to define the amount of skin to be removed just under the nostril floor of the nose to shorten the length of the upper lip, which lengthens during ageing. This turns the red vermilion of the lip up, giving a more youthful appearance. The lip looks fuller, and the upper teeth are slightly more exposed, giving a rejuvenated smile.

Ear lobe repair

Earlobe surgery usually involves repairing a split often due to the wearing of earrings. There are specific techniques designed to repair the hole and rejuvenate the earlobe. Some women also look to have the vertical height of the earlobe reduced secondary to the use of heavy earrings over their lifetime. This is also possible. Both procedures are under local anaesthetic and take no more than 30 minutes to deliver.

Small liposuction

At Nakedhealth, we understand that targeted fat reduction can be a delicate and personal journey. Our local anaesthetic liposuction offers a precise, minimally invasive solution for removing small, stubborn fat deposits that resist traditional diet and exercise. This specialised approach is particularly effective for challenging areas such as inner thighs, around the knees, and the central part of the neck. By focusing on smaller, strategic areas and using local anaesthesia, we provide a safe, controlled method of body contouring that minimises discomfort and downtime.

Fat transfer

Transferring small amounts of fat under local anaesthetic from the abdomen into the face to volumise and stimulate your own facial scaffolding to regenerate, is something that has become very popular in regenerative medicine here in the UK and abroad.

The procedure takes about 60 minutes to harvest the fat, treat the fat using an enclosed system and then inject it into agreed areas of a face. These are areas that will help to volumise the facial soft tissues and improve the quality and elasticity of the skin. One relies on the fat transferred to pick up a local blood supply, and therefore, more than one treatment might be required over several weeks. Our team will be on hand to advise.

Steroid injections

Steroid injections are used both to manipulate scars in terms of their redness and height and also as an adjunct to managing joint arthritis. Both of these can be done at Nakedhealth under the care of David Gateley. Steroid injections are often repeated every six weeks for a minimum of three treatments.

Chronic nail injuries

Chronic nail problems usually surround infections and ingrowing nails either in the hands but more commonly the toes. The management scenarios for these injuries need to be discussed fully with each individual patient, but good aesthetic and comfort outcomes can often be achieved.

Scar revisions

Revising scars on the face and body is one of the core offerings of a plastic surgeon. The scar can be improved in terms of its width, overall appearance and direction. There are specific plastic surgical techniques to achieve this, which would be discussed with you at consultation. All of these revisions are usually carried out under local anaesthetic and would not take longer than 30 minutes to deliver.
