Blepharoplasty is surgery to the upper or lower eyelid. Upper eyelid surgery involves making a judgment of how much excess skin can be surgically removed with or without a small amount of fat near the medial edge of the cut. The surgery can be done under local anaesthetic as a day case and takes about 30 minutes to perform.
Many of us have stubborn pockets of fat on our inner thighs, arms, chins and knees that simply won’t shift through diet or exercise. MicroLipo is a minimally invasive liposuction, fat removal and body sculpting procedure to improve your body’s contour.
MicroLipo gets its name from the tiny size of the cannulas used to extract the fat, which can be between just 0.9mm and 3mm wide. The technique can remove up to 3.5 litres of fat. The procedure is carried out by Plastic Surgeon, David Gateley, who has many years experience performing liposuction.
Fat transfer injection is a technique that transfers fat from one area of the body to another. Fat is harvested from fat rich areas such as the buttocks, thighs or abdomen, with minimal access liposuction techniques. The fat is then separated and concentrated before being injected into the areas of the face or hands requiring treatment. As we all age, our bodies produce less collagen, the protein which keeps our skin plump and youthful. The skin loses its elasticity as our collagen levels deplete, causing it to wrinkle and sag. Fat transfer to face or hands is an excellent way to improve contouring and help to restore volume to the face long term and is a good alternative to filler treatments which have to be repeated every 6-9 months.
The Microlipo procedure is used to help manage the lipoedema condition and ease the strain on day-to-day activities. Microlipo is a very gentle way to remove excess fat cells from the treatment area.
New moles account for about two thirds of skin cancers so it is important to keep in touch with your own body and to seek expert advice if there is anything you are unsure about.
At Nakedhealth the Medical team are experienced in identifying suspicious moles and painlessly removing them under local anaesthetic. They are then sent to the laboratory for analysis. It is really important to get an early opinion so that action can be taken quickly if necessary.
