Can I have Polynucleotides Injections if I am allergic to fish?

Yes you can as Polynucleotides are not made from fish themselves but from fish (specifically salmon and trout) DNA. There have been no reports within the industry of allergic reactions in people with fish allergies.

Who is suitable for Polynucleotide treatment?

Most people will benefit from polynucleotide treatment but in older skin the benefits are more noticeable. This is because of the depletion of collagen and elastin causing signs of ageing. The stimulation of collagen production and cell repair and renewal helps to reduce this and gives the skin a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance.

What is the difference between Profhilo and Polynucleotides?

Profhilo is a hyaluronic acid injection which deeply hydrates the skin giving an overall glow. Very appropriate for boosting younger skins. It doesn’t however address the common signs of ageing. Polynucleotides energise the fibroblast cells which produce collagen. This helps to remodel the skin and improve many of the signs of ageing.

What is the downtime after Polynucleotides Injections?

As the skin is being injected in multiple areas, small bumps or red marks may appear and can last for a few days following treatment. As with any injectable treatment, there is a risk of redness, swelling and bruising.

When will I see results?

For optimal results, typically 3 treatments are required. Many patients begin to notice subtle enhancements in skin texture and hydration within the first few weeks post-treatment. These early changes are indicative of the treatment initiating its regenerative effects at the cellular level. The most significant results typically manifest around the 12-week mark. By this time, the cumulative effects of increased collagen and elastin production lead to smoother, brighter, and more lifted skin.
