Botox™ – Frequently Asked Questions

How often do I need the BOTOX™ Treatment?

Treatments in the first year tend to last three to four months. It is recommended that you book your next appointment 4 months after the first treatment in order to keep up the appearance you want. If you decide not to continue with BOTOX™ treatment, your face will gradually go back to its pre-treatment appearance.

How will I feel during treatment?

Injection of Botulinum Toxin is a relatively non-invasive facial rejuvenation treatment which is less harsh than many cosmetic surgery procedures. Topical anaesthetic can be applied to the areas to be treated, which means the procedure is usually painless. You may feel a very slight scratch as the fine needle is applied to the areas you want to target

Does Botox™ work immediately?

In general, you should notice some effect of the BOTOX™ Cosmetic within 4-7 days of it being injected. However, this time may be shorter in some individuals. The complete effect is generally seen by 14 days after the date of the injection. You will be booked in for a follow up appointment after two weeks. Your practitioner will review the results and in some cases may give a small top up to complete the treatment.
