AgeJET – Frequently Asked Questions

How safe is AgeJET?

AgeJET is safe and effective. Various settings can be used for different strength treatments. The treatment can be undertaken more gently and slowly at lower settings.

How long does the AgeJET treatment take?

You will have had an initial consultation with one of our specialist practitioners, to ensure your suitability for treatment. You will usually have a numbing cream applied to maximise your comfort during the procedure, this takes 30 minutes. The whole face takes about 30-45 minutes and small areas will be around 20 minutes.

What strength treatment will I need?

Low Energy – general skin improvement, noticeably fine lines, wrinkles and dark circles. Acne bacteria is diminished. Your skin serums will absorb efficiently which will further contribute to a successful outcome. Your skin texture will be improved and there is little downtime. Several treatments may be needed.

Medium Energy – noticeable improvement to wrinkles, lines and age spots. You may experience redness, swelling and tightness for up to 5 days. You will be advised to moisturise several times a day. Your skin may darken and lightly peel. Best results will be seen after a course of 2-3 sessions.

High Energy – the results are on a par with an ablative treatment but the risk of complications is considerably less as is the downtime. Your complexion will be significantly improved, smoother, clearer and tighter. You may experience redness, swelling and tightness for up to 10 days. Your skin will darken temporarily and will noticeably peel. You will need to moisturise your skin regularly but will be able to resume normal activity and wear make up after day 6. One treatment should be enough.

What is the recovery time?

This will vary depending on the condition of your skin and the strength of your treatment. Between 4-10 days should be planned for but you will not be restricted to home. This will be explained at your initial consultation.
